The Apple Watch has become a health tool that can prevent some heart problems. The electrocardiogram of the Apple Watch Series 4 has saved some lives and is only available on the last Apple watch.
However, the other Apple watchers are able to detect our heart rate and have advanced features to notify us if we have an irregular heartbeat. These notifications are not activated by default so we will show you how to do it.
So you can activate notifications of irregular rhythm
First of all, you need to have an Apple Watch Series 1 or later and have upgraded to watchOS 5.2. This latest update has activated this option and that of the electrocardiogram in the Apple Watch Series 4 in 19 new countries, including Spain. An irregular heart rhythm may be related to problems associated with atrial fibrillation.
To activate these notifications we must follow these steps:
In our iPhone, we go to the Health application.
In the bottom part, click on Health data.
We enter the section Heart.
We go down and click on notifications of irregular rhythm.
Activate the Configure notifications option.
They can also be activated from the iPhone’s Watch app > Heart> Irregular rhythm.
Once we have activated the Apple Watch can send you a notification if it detects that your heart is beating with an irregular rhythm that could be due to atrial fibrillation. It is a very simple adjustment that can help us detect a heart disease that we knew nothing about.
The Apple Watch is a device that we always carry over so it is perfect to detect these types of heart problems. These functions have been extended with the electrocardiogram that is capable of performing the Apple Watch Series 4 and, surely, this type of medical functions continue to expand in future watches of the company, we have already seen some patents on it.
