Yesterday at the last minute Apple released the second beta of iOS 12.2 with some interesting developments. The main one is that 4 new Animojis are included, but we have found out after testing that the battery percentage appears constantly on the lock screen.
Normally in the lock screen of the iPhone and iPad, the time appears in big and under the date, in this second beta of iOS 12.2 instead of the date appears the percentage of battery that is left to the device. Something interesting because the new iPhone with Face ID does not show the percentage next to the battery.
Most likely it is an error
This percentage of battery in the lock screen appears when the device is charging, but when it does not appear the day and month. In the second beta of iOS 12.2 always appears the percentage attached to the workload, so everything indicates that it is an error and that iOS 12.2 does not distinguish whether the device is being loaded or not.
We do not know if it is an Apple experiment to see what host has among the users or is really an error. The latter is most likely since it is strange that Apple removes the date from the lock screen and there should be no problem in displaying both data at the same time. Or in any case, that was an option that we could choose in the iPhone settings.
It is something that we will not discover until the next update of iOS 12.2 and see if it is still working or not. Although most likely, the battery percentage disappears from the lock screen and we have to see it by sliding down the Control Center on the iPhone after iPhone X.
