It is the eternal debate. When Steve Jobs took the stage more than 8 years ago to present the iPad, he himself proclaimed the beginning of the post-PC era. Eight years later, the PC is still very much alive and the iPad is still a compliment.
Since the arrival of the iPad Pro, Apple has presented it as a device to replace a PC or portable Mac. However, there are many simple tasks that at the moment still can not do.
This has been demonstrated in a new survey in which 2 out of 3 people believe that the iPad Pro cannot replace your computer.
Two-thirds of users do not see the iPad Pro as a computer
Approximately one-third of the people surveyed by PCMag think that the new iPad Pro is good enough for use as a host computer. The main reasons are the multitasking with which to use two apps at the same time, the USB-C port and the storage terabyte. This percentage thinks that you can perform your own computer work on an iPad Pro.
However, there are still more than 60% of users who see the new iPad Pro simply as a tablet.
We have already told you that there are several things that the iPad Pro cannot do and a computer does. It is also true that it depends on the type of work you have the iPad Pro can be a perfect device.
For example, when drawing, the iPad Pro and Apple Pencil are a difficult combination to overcome. If you add the keyboard, it is just as productive as a laptop if you only use it for office automation.
But for other types of jobs, its use is not adequate. For example for programmers, Apple does not offer any app to be able to program from the iPad Pro. It may be the future, especially seeing the power of the A12X, but it requires a different operating system.
