The messaging application is already compatible with the security measures of the iPhone WhatsApp, a well-known messaging application, continues betting on the computer security of its platform, used by 1,500 million users around the world. One of its latest measures has been to add support for FaceID, the facial recognition system integrated into the latest iPhone models.
The service, owned by Facebook, added this compatibility in its latest update for iOS devices, ie, iPhone, which will soon be available for download. A decision that will allow users to have a higher security protocol, although it is an option. This feature will soon come to Android phones.
In such a way that, once added, will make the users require to authorize their face through the biometric sensor of the mobile phone to access WhatsApp. It will also allow you to avoid consulting your conversations by third parties without the user’s permission.
To activate it you have to follow a few simple steps. First, and after downloading the update, go to “Settings”, which is located on a gear icon in the lower right.
Then, you must enter «Account / Privacy» and the option « Screen lock » will appear, from where you can activate the option «Require FaceID». In addition to this feature, WhatsApp also lets the user choose the time it takes to request the unlock by face, either “Immediately”, “After a minute”, “After 15 minutes” or “After 1 hour”.
